Welcome to the World Isaac!!

On the morning of March 26th 2013, Josh and I went to the hospital eager to meet our little guy!
Outside the delivery room!

After being in the delivery room from 6 am and in labor until 5:30 pm without much progression. My doctor came to me and talked to us about our options for the safety of myself and Isaac and that she needed to perform a c-section. It was truly a scary moment for us but our son, Isaac was born at 6:48 pm on March 26th weighing 7 lb 15 ounces, 21 & 1/4 inches long! Josh didn't leave Isaac in the nursery until he knew I was in a room recovering.

Going Home!

May Vacation to Florida 2012

This May, Josh and I decided we were going to go visit family in Florida. We spent the beginning of our week in Panama City relaxing and spending time together.

We went to Sharky's and the food was great. The view was amazing.

After leaving Panama City, we drove to East Point to spend time with my aunt, uncle and cousins. We took my Uncle's boat to Little St. George Island to go shellin', for those of you who aren't familiar with the term, we walked the beach and picked up shells. I loved the time we spent together.

We went back to the house and spent time playing games and had dinner.

We tried to fly a kite one day with John Talon but there wasn't enough wind to keep it up.

After a few days with family it was time for us to go home, I treasure the memories with them and I can't wait until our next visit.

October Trip to Philadelphia

This October I had the privilege of attending the National Conference for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. I was a little nervous traveling pregnant but my doctor assured me I would be fine.
It was nice because I just started feeling our little guy moving, he definitely made flying easy on me. I normally have bad anxiety when flying, especially alone, but I realized I really wasn't "alone" our little one takes after Josh because he was doing flips during takeoff and landing on all my flights.

I was fortunate enough to hear lots of inspirational people at the opening and closing sessions as well as meeting individuals from across the country and talking to them about all we were learning about that week.

After my week at the conference, Josh drove up so we could have a mini-vacation in Philadelphia.
We spent time sightseeing and just enjoying being in a different city together.
17 weeks pregnant!

Holidays 2012

This year Josh and I traveled to Columbus, GA to spend Thanksgiving with his mom's side of the family. It was fun getting to see family that we haven't seen in a while. Even more exciting since we are expecting our first. I was 22 weeks when we were traveling.

We enjoyed playing with our two beautiful nieces, Temperance and Rylee, as well as our three awesome nephews, Grant, Gage and JJ. They are a joy to spend time with and seeing their personalities developing is always a surprise.
My sister-in-law, Sarah, told me that Temperance had some questions she wanted to ask me when she saw me. Sure enough when Temperance saw me she asked me three questions.
What is the name of the baby in your tummy? I told her that Uncle Josh and Aunt Brittany haven't picked out a name.
Can I give him a hug and kiss? You sure can!
Can I see him? I showed her some of the ultrasound pictures from our week 19 visit she was very excited.

It was sweet to see all of them and celebrate what we are most thankful for.....FAMILY!

This year for Christmas we had lots of little celebrations, December 8th we celebrated in Statesboro with Josh's Mom, Dad, Sister, Brother in law, Nephew and Niece.
December 15th we celebrated in Albany with my Mom, Dad, Grandmother and Granddad.
We will be spending actual Christmas just the two of us at our home in Statesboro.

Overdue Update

Well it has been a long time coming, I have had blog posts ready but didn't have the pictures ready to add to my stories. I have decided to post them all even thought they are all overdue. I wanted to update this and keep it up to date as much as I can.

Our Blessing due in March!!

Josh and I found out about a month after our 2 year anniversary that we were EXPECTING!!!
4-D Ultrasound of our little one in Dec 2012!

I had been feeling under the weather on and off for about two months, and it never occurred to me or Josh for me to take a test just to see. (Very silly of us).

So a few days passed and I decided I would take one before work one morning, just to see. In my mind I didn't think I was, was I ever wrong. I sat there alone, patiently waiting for the 5 minutes on the timer to be up. Josh wasn't awake yet for me to share the news I had to think of a creative way to tell him and fast since his alarm was going off.....I simply turned off his alarm and sat on his side of the bed. When he woke up I said, "Guess what, you're going to be a Dad." He couldn't stop smiling once I told him.

I then called my doctor and made an appointment for the following week. They confirmed the pregnancy and said that I was 9 weeks. We had no idea I was that far along.

I have to say ever since we found out we were expecting, it has been more fun thinking about what our little one will be like.
Our little blessing is due March 25th, 2013!!
